For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller of the personal data you provide to us.

When you complete our solar savings estimate form, we collect:

  • UK postcode and property details (type, ownership status, roof direction)
  • Electricity bill information (monthly spend, annual usage)
  • Uploaded energy bill documents (PDF or image), if provided
  • Your GDPR consent choices and the timestamp at which consent was given
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited (via analytics)

4. Who we share your data with

We share your personal data only with:

  • MCS-certified solar installers — only those operating in your area, and only when you have consented to being contacted. We do not sell your data to third-party lead brokers.
  • Resend — our transactional email provider, used solely to send your estimate confirmation email.
  • Manus / cloud infrastructure — our hosting and database provider, operating under a data processing agreement.

We do not transfer your data outside the UK or EEA without appropriate safeguards.

5. How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data for 24 months from the date of submission. After this period, your data is securely deleted unless we are required by law to retain it for longer (e.g. for tax or legal purposes).

Uploaded energy bill documents are stored securely in encrypted cloud storage and are subject to the same 24-month retention period.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
